About Biatriz Rodrigues!

You may be wondering who Biatriz Rodrigues is. I am a Marketing student with a minor in Digital, Communication, Information, and Media at Rutgers University. My goal is to share my portfolio, document my growth, and demonstrate how digital spaces are shaping the way we connect today.

Welcome to my website. Here, I will present my projects and share insights gained from my final Rutgers semester, focusing on how digital spaces influence opinions and shape communication. As a marketing major fascinated by the digital age, I aim to explore the importance of brand identity and storytelling in the online space. This website serves as both a course project and a platform for my digital marketing journey.

In my personal experience, college has really helped me grow a lot. I used to be very shy and reserved, especially in group settings or presentations, and I believe digital platforms had a big impact on that. During my first year, I struggled a lot with confidence and questioned if my ideas were good enough. Through working as a server and pushing myself outside my comfort zone, I've become much more comfortable talking to people and sharing my thoughts. Building my confidence has allowed me to speak to others freely and overcome my anxiety when speaking in public.

Since I grew up in a generation when digital platforms were accessible anywhere, interacting with people in person was never really something I had to do. Pushing myself to interact with people not on social media was something I had to overcome, and I had to stop relying on digital platforms to distance myself from others.

Throughout this website, I will continue to reflect on my experiences and my goal is to better understand the digital world. I'm excited to see what new things I’ll create and I hope you'll enjoy what my website has to offer!
