Final Thoughts: What I’m Taking Away From This Course

As my Strategic Presentation Digital Media class comes to an end, I have been reflecting on everything I’ve learned. One of my biggest things that I have learned in this class was understanding my audience. In the beginning, I would just write whatever I wanted in my blogs without really thinking of who would

actually read them. Through writing more blog posts and doing my podcast, I learned that it actually matters a lot. Now I try to make my writing very clear,easy to understand, and be more relatable. This class really helped me be a better writer and how to be more creative. 

Building Real Digital Skills

Another big takeaway I learned from this class was how to use different digital tools. At first, I really didn’t know how

to build a website or how to edit audio but after taking this course I know how to use all these tools. I’ve made my own website, written blogs, and created a podcast. I never thought that I would be able to do all of it but this class really gave me the confidence. This class pushed me to try new things and get more comfortable with creating content. All these skills are very helpful and are real skills I can actually use in my future job. 

Being More Aware Online

This class also taught me more about the digital world. Being in this class has taught me to really think about how the internet works. We talked about many things that I didn't really know about the digital world like privacy, online identity, and ho

w fast information spreads. Before taking this class I didn't really think about all those things before but I am now more aware of what I post and what I believe online. I also now understand that the media can influence people, and that it is important to think before reacting to fake news. 

Final Reflection 

Overall, I feel like I grew my personal and professional skills. I am now more confident in my writing and creating creative content. I also understand the digital world better than before and be more aware online. Even though some of our assignments in this class were challenging, I learned a lot from them. The skills I learned and lessons will help me in my future career and set me up only for success.
